1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ClipCapsule, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. ClipCapsule reserves the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

ClipCapsule is a video time-capsule service that allows you to upload home videos, organize them into clips, and share with family members. The service includes video storage, clip detection, and a browsing interface accessible via web and mobile apps.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all videos and content you upload to ClipCapsule. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your authorized family members.

You represent that:

• You have the right to upload the content you submit
• Your content does not violate any applicable laws
• Your content does not infringe on the rights of any third party

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Use the service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service

6. Free and Paid Plans

ClipCapsule offers a free tier with limited usage (2 videos per month, up to 2 hours each, watermark on exports) and paid subscription plans with enhanced features. Subscription pricing, features, and billing terms are displayed at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to modify pricing and plan features with reasonable notice. Active subscriptions will be honored for the remainder of their billing period.

7. Data Storage and Deletion

We store your uploaded videos and generated clips in cloud storage (Supabase and Cloudflare R2). We make reasonable efforts to maintain the availability and integrity of your data, but do not guarantee zero data loss.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

8. Limitation of Liability

ClipCapsule is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or content.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
